Home for the Holidays (Detroit Symphony Orchestra), Friday to Sunday: Join the DSO for a Detroit tradition filled with the sounds of the holidays. Conducted by Jason Seber with Siri Howard on vocals, the two-hour showcase will take audiences on a nostalgic sleigh ride and, if you’re on the nice list, might even get to see the big guy himself. Holiday Magic Spectacular (Suburban Collection Showplace), opening weekend: Immerse yourself and your family in a winter wonderland surrounded by over 1,000 Christmas trees, thousands of lights, hundreds of nutcrackers, giant candy canes and more. You can even walk inside of a giant snow globe. Meet Santa Claus at the North Pole and visit Selfieville for all your holiday photos this year. Tickets are $22.99. More info and tickets here.

Disney’s FROZEN (Detroit Opera House), through Sunday: It’s the final weekend to step into the world of Arendelle with Broadway’s Tony-nominated hit musical. Join Anna and Elsa on an adventure featuring all your favorite Oscar-winning songs like “For First Time in Forever,” “Summer,” and “Let It Go.” Olaf and Sven magically come to life on stage on a spectacle for the whole family. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer the Musical (Fisher Theater), Saturday & Sunday: It’s a beloved holiday tradition on television that’s making its way to the stage. See all your favorite characters including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, and, of course, Rudolph. 1 hour and 40-minute runtime. Tickets start at $25. Holiday Fun Fest (Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds), Saturday 2 to 10 p.m.: Get ready for a festive family tradition at the fairgrounds. Enjoy live music from the Unkle Lay Lee’s Moonshiners and try delectable bites and sweet treats. Catch the MPWA wrestlers duke it out or even watch Santa and The Grinch in their own fun fight. Buddy the Elf will be reading stories all afternoon and kids can enjoy craftmaking. Admission is $10, free for 10 and under. Proceeds benefit Saline Area Social Services. More info here.

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis (Fox Theatre), Saturday 8 p.m.: No holiday season is complete without the funky sounds of Chip Davis playing everywhere and now you can experience it live with a full band, singers and a festive production. Now celebrating its 36th anniversary, the Christmas tour is the longest running tour in the industry. Tickets start at $25. Get tickets here.

Lions vs. Denver Broncos (Ford Field), Saturday 8:15 p.m.: The Lions are taking it home for the highly anticipated game that might lead the team one step closer to the playoffs. They currently hold a two-game lead over the Vikings in the NFC North. Get tickets here.

Holiday Market (Eastern Market, Sheds 3 to 5), Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: It’s your last chance to go to Eastern Market’s annual tradition of supporting small businesses. Find last-minute gifts that you can’t find anywhere else by artisans and makers in our own community. You’ll find everything from clothing, art, jewelry, beauty and more. 97.9 WJLB “The Big Show” (Little Caesars Arena), Sunday 6 p.m.: The biggest names in hip hop are coming together for an unforgettable night of music. Headlining this year is none other than Lil Wayne. Joining Weezy will be City Girls, Sexyy Red, Jacquees, Tee Grizzley, Skilla Baby, Kash Doll and Sada Baby. Get tickets here.

1001 Winter Wonders (1001 Woodward Ave), ongoing: Step into the North Pole right in the heart of Downtown Detroit. Walk down the candy lane as you pass by the decorated tree farm, Christmas lights and stunning holiday décor.
