Hamilton Beach recalls thousands of toasters Toasters recalled due to fire hazard No description found
DETROIT – Hamilton Beach has recalled nearly 14,000 toasters due to a fire hazard.
The company said when the toaster is first plugged in the heating element can be charged despite the toaster's lifter being in the "up" or "off" position.
This can pose a fire hazard if the toaster is placed near flammable items.
Model No. 22602 is being recalled.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has joined in the recall.
