High pressure will continue to control the forecast looking ahead into the start of the weekend on Saturday. High temperatures remain seasonable, a few degrees below where we should be for the end of May. Expect high temperatures to warm into the low 70s by Saturday afternoon.
Mainly clear skies will be the rule the forecast overnight Saturday night and into early on Sunday morning, and it will be another cool overnight as well. Overnight lows are dropping into the lower 50s in the city, and we will see some mid-upper 40s outside the metro.
The Sunshine continues looking ahead to the end of the weekend on Sunday, but we will warm things up a little more than we were expecting at the start of the weekend on Saturday. High temperatures are warming into the mid- to upper 70s by Sunday afternoon.
The Omega block will continue to control the forecast, looking ahead into the start of next week. With high-pressure and control of the forecast, we are expecting plenty of sunshine for the first half of the week. Mostly sunny skies can be expected Monday through Wednesday. With temperatures continuing to warm up as well, expect high temperatures into the upper 70s and lower 80s all three days.
Sunshine continues into the second half of next week as well, and temperatures look to get even warmer. High temperatures in the lower 80s on Wednesday will warm into the mid-80s by the second half of next week. Our next chance of rain doesn’t move into the forecast until the end of next week, and it is just a chance of showers. Those move in by Friday afternoon and into next Friday evening.
