Purr-Fection stuffed animals with flashlights recalled by MJC

LED lights of stuffed animals can protrude through toy

Purr-Fection by MJC says they are recalling about 7,200 Beamerzzz Stuffed Animals with LED Flashlights as they pose a laceration hazard.

The company said the wires of the LED flashlights can protrude through the toy and cut anyone the wires may come in contact with. No injuries have been reported.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the items were sold at Cabela's stores and online at Cabelas.com from September 2012 through November 2012 for about $15.

The recalled styles are as follows:

  • Baby Moose - 3127FS
  • Baby Butter Cream Bear - 1229FS
  • Baby Smoky Black Bear - 1231FS
  • Baby Deer - 3136FS
  • Baby Derby Elephant - 1927FS

Those who have purchased one of the toys can contact the company for a replacement.
