Here are the top public elementary schools in Michigan, according to review site

DETROIT – The researchers at Niche.com continue to rank the best schools in the state of Michigan. 

This time their attention has turned to public elementary schools. According to Niche, "the 2018 Best Public Elementary Schools ranking is based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education."

"Ranking factors include state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, grade school ratings, and the overall quality of the school district," a statement on the review site reads. 

With that in mind, here's how they rank the "best public elementary schools" in Michigan, complete with a letter grade (the top nine all are in the Troy School District):

SchoolDigger has different rankings

SchoolDigger.com offers different rankings for the "best" Michigan elementary schools based on a separate set of standards. SchoolDigger is basing their rankings only on the state M-Step scores, not the "student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality" which Niche uses.

"SchoolDigger calculates school rankings based on M-Step English Language Arts, M-Step Math, M-Step Science, M-Step Social Studies test scores released by the Michigan Department of Education. These rankings were last updated on August 29, 2017, and are based on the most recent test scores available. We update rankings as we receive new test scores from the Michigan Department of Education, usually on a yearly basis. Our sources of data include the National Center for Education Statistics, U.S. Department of Education and the Michigan Department of Education," the website explains. 

You'll notice some crossover between the SchoolDigger and Niche rankings, particularly the Troy School District schools.
