Vibes with the Tribes is back! If you haven’t heard of it before, this is Michigan’s first Native American music festival, taking place on Anishinaabek land right here in Detroit, Michigan, also known as Waawiyaatanong. Experience the heart and soul of the festival with live performances, vibrant culture, Woodland Native dances, Hand Drum singing, DJs, art, dancing, food, craft vendors, live painting, and much more!

Art on the Grand 2025

Grand River Ave, Downtown Farmington

There’s free fun to be had in historic Downtown Farmington this weekend. Art on the Grand will be hosted along Grand River Avenue between Farmington Road and Grove Street Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy an array of high-quality art in a variety of price ranges and disciplines including ceramics, jewelry, painting, photography, wood, wearable art, glass, leather and sculpture. There will also be fun art demos, a Kids Art Alley, live music, face painting and an art workshop hosted by the Detroit Institute of Arts.

Motor City Irish Festival

Experience the flavors of Ireland at the Motor City Irish Festival, held at Greenmead Historical Park. Join in the celebration of Irish culture with live performances from traditional Irish bands and dancers. Enjoy engaging cultural activities, including a Gaelic football scrimmage, while savoring authentic food and beverages from a variety of vendors. This year’s headlining acts are coming directly from Ireland.

Peacefest 2025

Looking for a groovy time? Swing by the annual Peacefest at L.A Cafe in Waterford this weekend! Find unique and psychedelic art amongst over 120 creative vendors, food trucks, a cold one at the beer tent and jam out to a great line-up of 12 local bands. This art & music festival is free and good for all ages.

Motor City Pride 2025

June 7th - June 8th

Hart Plaza

This weekend is Motor City Pride, the largest LGBTQ+ pride event in Michigan celebrating community and equality in downtown Detroit. The event will take place at Hart Plaza and will feature a parade, a street festival, food vendors, a family area, activities, entertainment, and various stages showcasing both local and national talent. Drag queens Jackie Cox and Jan Sport from RuPaul’s Drag Race are scheduled to perform on the main stage.

Every Thursday from 11 am - 8 pm, the Cranbrook Art Museum offers free admission and extended hours! Additionally, you can enjoy free mini golf on Father’s Day. From May 3rd through September, explore Cranbrook’s artist-designed miniature golf course located right outside the art museum. Two new holes have been added to Cranbrook on the Green.

53rd Annual International Glass Invitational

The largest exhibition of art glass in the world is opening this weekend! Gla53 will feature 400 works of art by artists working in the medium of glass from around the world. This breathtaking exhibition is the highlight of the year for Habatat Galleries - the oldest and largest gallery in the world, dedicated to contemporary art glass. The public is invited to join the opening celebration, free of charge and can enjoy the exhibit through September 19th.

Bicycles: Powering Possibilities

Henry Ford Museum

Bicycles: Powering Possibilities" showcases the history of pedal-powered mobility through a variety of exhibits, including historic and contemporary bicycles, vintage accessories, archival documents, and photographs. The exhibition provides interactive experiences suitable for all ages and highlights influential builders, riders, and racers from the past 200 years. It is currently on display at the Henry Ford Museum and will run through February 15, 2026.
