Company will allow women to take days off during period

Should women get the day off while they're menstruating? One British company thinks so.

Coexist announced that its female staffers will now be allowed to take time off when they're menstruating -- and it won't be considered a sick day.

Director of Coexist, Bex Baxter, told The Guardian that it was an important move.

“We wanted a policy in place which recognizes and allows women to take time for their body’s natural cycle without putting this under the label of illness."
