“We’re continuing to see a slight uptick in COVID cases. The symptoms have been nonspecific. Some individuals are presenting with GI issues and others with headaches, muscle aches and coughs. We’ve seen weakness in the elderly with COVID.”

OAKLAND COUNTY – COVID, strep throat, seasonal allergies, sinus infections, insect bites, poison ivy & poison oak.

“We continue to see COVID and strep infections in both children and adults. Remember to test for COVID with over-the-counter at-home kits or see your doctor for a test if you are not feeling well. Otherwise, stay home if you feel ill to avoid spreading germs. "

“We are seeing allergies and sinus infections, along with insect bites and allergic reactions to contact with Poison Ivy and Poison Oak.”

“We are seeing a lot of hip pain and some hip fractures from falls. Patients are also coming in for chest pain, abdominal pain, and stroke-like symptoms. Shortness of breath is still a recurring issue for many who come to the ED. "

“We continue to see URIs, especially COVID-19, at higher numbers than we were seeing earlier in the summer and similar to last week. Some patients with comorbidities have required admission. Small numbers of GI illnesses also often associated with upper respiratory symptoms with viruses such as human rhinoenterovirus or adenovirus are occurring as well.”
MONROE COUNTY – COVID, influenza, fall-related injuries, seasonal allergies, breathing problems.

“COVID infections are on the rise. I am also seeing patients experiencing allergies and asthma flare-ups.”
MACOMB COUNTY – COVID, seasonal allergies, asthma flare-ups.

“Patients are coming in with sunburn, poison ivy rash and COVID.”
LIVINGSTON COUNTY -- Stomach viruses, sore throats, outdoor injuries.

“We are seeing increase in abdominal pain with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea of viral etiology. We are also treating sore throat-viral etiology, and usual summer trauma injuries.”
