DETROIT – There is one word Michiganders misspell more than any other word.
The Scripps National Spelling Bee kicks off this week in Washington D.C., as some of the best and brightest will try to spell some of the hardest words in the English language.
USA Today and Google pulled the most misspelled words in each state.
Michigan's most misspelled word is: pneumonia
Alabama, Illinois, Maine and Washington all had the same word.
Some other notable misspelled words included license, maintenance, suspicious, bananas and receipt.
