An annual winter event returns to Downtown Royal Oak at the end of the week. Winter Blast presented by Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort offers a blast of winter fun.
The events organizer Jon Witz said there’s some new stuff happening, as well as traditional activities, which he stopped by “Live in the D” to talk all about it.
“You can skate for free, you can fly down a 300 ft. zip line down 3rd street, lots of live music and heated tents,” Witz said. In addition, he said there will be ice sculptures, and new this year, a ropes course, and a medieval village that includes knights on horses. He says there will also be 17 food trucks, and brought one of the vendors, Wing Snob, on the show with him.
