The annual winter event in Metro Detroit returns as Winter Blast kicks off Friday, February 2nd in downtown Royal Oak. The event is presented by Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort with free admission and wraps up on Sunday, February 4th.
Event organizer Jon Witz, discussed the event with host Tati Amare on “Live in the D.” He talked about how the event will feature ice sculptures, one being a salute to Bob Marley with a sculpture of his guitar. The event will also offer free ice skating for the weekend and various food trucks.
Some of the new features of the event will be a ninja ropes course adventure and a medieval town, and both are free.
