‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ hits theaters this weekend: What we thought about it

Plus, interesting new stories on Netflix

The Ghostbusters are back at it with a new monster chase, plus there’s new content on Netflix that we’re excited about.

Movie reviewer Greg Russell joins us on “Live in The D” to talk about them for this week’s Reel Talk.

In “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” the Ghostbusters return to New York City. But this time, there is a new monster from outer space -- or “death space,” as Russell calls it -- that wants to freeze the world. With the help of new and old faces, they try to stop the monster.

Russell rates the film three out of five reels.

“Shirley,” a new move on Netflix, Shirley, stars Regina King as Shirley Chrisholm. The movie takes place in 1972 when Shirley decides to run for Congress. Russell says the film is “a great piece of American history,” and gives it a four out of five reels.

New Netflix series “3 Body Problem” takes place in the 1960s with a professor who discovers something in outer space, where she sends a message. Fast forward to the present, that message is received.

Russell says the series will “keep your attention. It will bring you to want to know what the story is about.”
