Experience a Salute to America in Greenfield Village

Fireworks and DSO performance to mark nation’s 250th anniversary

History, music, and fireworks are colliding for one of the most unforgettable summer traditions in metro Detroit. Salute to America is coming to life in Greenfield Village in Dearborn, just in time for the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The immersive experience offers a chance to see the historic homes and artifacts at Greenfield Village, along with entertainment that ranges from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to a spectacular fireworks finale that lights up the night sky.

“It is a milestone, so we wanted the concert to be bigger and more memorable,” explained Detroit Symphony Orchestra President & CEO Erik Ronmark.

“It’s really a celebration of American music. We have, of course, your patriotic favorites, we end the concert with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, we have our salute to our armed forces, so a lot of Americana, but we have American composers like Leonard Bernstein, John Williams, and then we have some contemporary composers," Ronmark said.

Salute to America runs July 2 through July 5 at Greenfield Village. For more information about the event or to get your tickets to attend Salute to America, click here.
