Northville police say 2 women were scheming to break into houses
Rachel Peters, Nicolea Watters arrested in area of West Main Street, Springwood
NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Northville police said two women have been arrested for scheming to break into houses.
Police said residents in the area of West Main Street and Springwood on Monday reported that two women were going door-door asking if anyone had seen their lost dog. Officers responded and arrested 28-year-old Rachel Frances Peters and 23-year-old Nicolea Dawn Watters.
Police said the two were knocking on the doors using the lost dog pretense to see if anyone was home. If no one was home, they were planning on breaking into the home, police said.
They are both charged with one count of conspiracy to commit home invasion, a 15 year felony.
Police said the women are suspected of being involved in other home break-ins.
Peters is from Detroit, Watters is from Flint.
