After a mixture of sunshine and clouds throughout the day with warm temperatures on Friday, we are going to bring in some much needed rainfall into the region as we look ahead into the upcoming weekend.
Expect the clouds to fill in as we work through the evening and into the overnight hours tonight. A few rain showers may develop before midnight, but most of the region should remain dry this evening. Overnight lows dropping into the upper 60s and lower 70s.
Looking ahead into the weekend, we will keep the chance of rain showers in both Saturday and Sunday, there also could be a few thunderstorms that develop along a frontal boundary that will move into the region, and stall out through late Sunday.
There’s a better chance for more widespread coverage of rain on Saturday afternoon & evening, and into the overnight compared to the end of the weekend on Sunday. Some places could see over an inch or more of rainfall, especially where multiple rounds of rain move through throughout the weekend. But as of right now, we don’t have any flooding concerns, looking ahead into the weekend.
High temperatures will remain in the upper 70s to around 80° on Saturday, then drop into the mid to upper 70s for everyone by the end of the weekend on Sunday.
Looking ahead into the first part of next week, the models are indicating that and upper-level disturbance will be “cutoff” from the frontal boundary, and this will keep the chance of a few rain showers into the forecast both Monday and Tuesday. I don’t think either day will be a complete washout. High temperatures rebounding back into the low to mid 80s for Monday and Tuesday.
Rain showers will remain in the forecast looking ahead into the middle of the week on Wednesday, before drier weather moves back into the region by the time we get to Thursday. High temperatures remain in the mid-80s are in the forecast for next Wednesday and Thursday.
