DETROIT – The Judicial Tenure Commission is recommending a Wayne County judge who had an affair with a woman who had a case in his court be removed from the bench for six years.
The JTC says Judge Wade McCree committed judicial misconduct.
"Based on the egregious nature of the misconduct, the Commission recommends that the Michigan Supreme Court remove Respondent from judicial office and conditionally suspend him from office, without pay, for a period of six years, beginning January 1, 2015. In addition, pursuant to MCR 9.205(B), the Commission recommends that Respondent be ordered to pay costs in the amount of $11,945.17," the commission's recommendation reads.

McCree has admitted to having an affair with Geniene La'Shay Mott, a woman who appeared as a witness in a child-support case that was in his court.
Now another judge has to decide McCree's future on the bench. The Michigan Supreme Court will decide if or how he should be punished.
