Bernie Smilovitz interviews Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Local 4's Bernie Smilovitz sat down for a one-on-one interview with University of Michigan Athletic Director Dave Brandon in the wake of the quarterback concussion controversy.
Brandon pointed to a "serious lack of communication" between the Wolverines' coaching staff and medical personnel. Morris absorbed multiple hits in Saturday's game, but the helmet-to-helmet hit that left his staggered and unable to stand upright was not seen by medical staff, Brandon claimed.
Students staged an on-campus rally Tuesday night to also push for Brandon's resignation. The Michigan Daily, the campus newspaper, has also called for coach Brady Hoke's dismissal.
