DETROIT – Two people were shot, one fatally, Thursday afternoon on Elmdale Street on Detroit's east side.
A 38-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were hit in a drive-by shooting. The man was shot while he was inside a vehicle and talking to the woman, who was standing outside.

Police say the man tried to chase after the shooter. He's now in critical condition at a hospital.
The woman died from gunshot wounds.
No arrests have been made.
