Cat shot with arrow recovering; authorities looking for person responsible for harming it

Humane society caring for cat who was found in Eaton County

Authorities in Eaton County are looking for person who shot a cat with an arrow.

The wounded male cat was found Monday morning outside a home in Kalamo Township, which is southwest of Lansing. It was taken to the Capital Area Humane Society, where it is receiving medical attention.

A Facebook post by the society said cat underwent surgery.

"The arrow has been removed, but the next 24 hours are extremely critical. Kitty is being monitored closely and we are hopeful that he will make a full recovery," the post stated.
