Tricia Kortes, 46, was arraigned on a charge of assault and battery. She faces a penalty of up to 93 days in jail and a $500 fine.
In July 2015, Kortes allegedly assaulted the manager of Ray’s Ice Cream in Royal Oak.
According to Royal Oak police, Kortes reached over the counter and slapped the manager because they were out of the flavor ice cream she wanted.
Police said Kortes quickly fled the business after the assault.

In June 2016, the manager saw a newspaper article describing an incident at a Kroger Grocery store in Bloomfield Township where a customer drop-kicked a special order cake she didn’t like. The cake featured Batman versus Superman.
Kortes was convicted of disorderly conduct.
The manager saw a photo in the article and recognized Kortes.
Kortes was notified a warrant was issued for her arrest. She reported to the police department Thursday, where she was arraigned.
