Dearborn officer responds to accusations he groped woman during traffic stop

Officer suspended without pay amid sexual assault allegations

DEARBORN, Mich. – A Dearborn officer accused of fondling a woman he pulled over during a traffic stop says he has proof it never happened.

The Local 4 Defenders spoke with the officer, who said the charges never should have been filed.

The alleged incident happened after a traffic stop for distracted driving. It took just 2 1/2 seconds, as the officer said he tapped the driver's shoulder and told her to be more careful on the roads. The driver said the officer grabbed her breast.

The incident turned into allegations of sexual assault and a suspension without pay for the police officer.

Wednesday night, he is fighting back.
