Donald Trump campaigns in Sterling Heights

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Donald Trump campaigned at Freedom Hill Amphitheater in Sterling Heights Sunday.

Trump spoke for about 40 minutes to thousands of energized voters.

He got the loudest applause talking about secure borders and bringing jobs back to Michigan. The Republican presidential candidate made it clear he believes Michigan is still in play.

The mood was electric at the Freedom Hill Amphitheater. At one point, Trump noticed some young kids in the crowd and brought them on stage.

Meanwhile former President Bill Clinton was in Michigan stumping for his wife, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. He spent time in Flint and Lansing talking to voters.

Clinton later traveled to Dearborn but he wasn't the only political surrogate spending time in Michigan.

Sarah Palin, the Republican former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate was in Detroit Sunday evening.

And before heading to yet another rally, Trump urged supporters to vote on Tuesday.

With polls indicating the race is tightening here in Michigan, both candidates are spending their finals hours campaigning here.

Hillary Clinton and Trump will be in Grand Rapids on Monday.

Trump will also appear with his vice presidential running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, at The Devos Place in Grand Rapids on Monday, for their final campaign stop of the 2016 election.
