Consumers Energy promotes CARE customer assistance program

DETROIT – Consumers Energy is holding two customer energy assistance days to help eligible customers afford their monthly energy bills while building a path to self-sufficiency.

The sessions will be held on the following days:

  • Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1720 S. Livernois Street in Rochester Hills in the Rochester Area Neighborhood House
  • Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 8129 Packard Avenue in Warren in the Mt. Calvary Community Center

Customers are asked to bring a photo ID, Social Security card and proof of all income.

Those who have earned income are asked to bring three biweekly or five weekly pay stubs.

Anyone with unearned income is asked to bring proof of child support, Social Security award letters for all members of the household and proof of Department of Health and Human Services cash assistance.
