What color are these strawberries?

Wait…what color are these strawberries?

This image was shared by Japanese 'experimental psychologist' Akiyoshi Kitaoka.

The photo appears to red strawberries with a blue hue. But, the psychologist behind the photo says there are no red pixels in the picture.

'Strawberries appear to be reddish, though the pixels are not,' Prof Kitaoka said on Twitter.  'Illusion of strawberry by the two-color method. Although this image are [sic] all made of the pixels of the cyan (blue-green), strawberries appear red,' Professor Kitaoka said.
