Apartment fire erupts in Shelby Township

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Firefighters from several departments battle a fire Monday morning at an apartment building in Shelby Township.

UPDATE: Candle causes fire at Shelby Township apartment building

The scene is at the Pebble Creek Apartments on Pebble Creek near West Utica Road near Ryan Road.

Everyone was able to get out, according to authorities. Ten units were impacted by the fire. 

Authorities believe a candle is to blame for the fire. 

Shelby Township, Macomb Township, Sterling Heights, Utica, Rochester and Rochester Hills fire departments are on the scene.
