Clay admits he was choking Bruck while they had sex

MONROE, Mich. – Thursday was the third day of testimony for Daniel Clay, who's accused of killing Chelsea Bruck.

During Thursday's hearing, the jury watched video of detectives interrogating Clay about Bruck's death.

In the video, Clay admits he was choking Bruck while they had sex.

"I thought at first she was like holding her breath or something," Clay said. "I wasn't choking her that hard I didn't think. Then like she just stopped breathing."

Clay said he tried breathing into Bruck's mouth, but she never regained consciousness.

He's charged with murder, but the defense insists Bruck's death was an accident.

Testimony will resume Friday morning.
