Questions still unanswered in murder of woman found dead in Superior Township home last October

DETROIT – Questions about the murder of a woman found dead inside her Superior Township home last October remain unanswered, police said.

Kelly Campbell-Brown was found dead Oct. 6, 2018, inside her home in the 1900 block of Evergreen Lane in Superior Township, according to authorities.

Family members said Campbell-Brown had family over the night of Oct. 5. They said they left around 8:30 p.m. that night and tried to call her the following morning.

When Campbell-Brown didn't answer their calls, family members went to her home and found her front door open, according to police.

Campbell-Brown was lying unresponsive in her bed, officials said. Authorities arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene.

It was determined that Campbell-Brown was fatally shot, according to police.

Campbell-Brown attended Huron High School in Ann Arbor, where she was a member of the Sister's Club. She worked at St. Joe's Hospital for 16 years, officials said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
