4 arrested in string of ATM thefts around Southeast Michigan

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Three men and a woman have been charged in connection with a string of ATM thefts around Southeast Michigan, Canton police announced.

Richard Mareno Briggs, 34, of Detroit; Angelo Parker, 30, of Detroit; Antonio Eblay Parker, 33 of Warren; and Anitra Leann Ward, 20, of Hazel Park; were arraigned Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Police in Canton Township, Dearborn, Detroit, Ferndale, Livonia and Warren, as well as officials from the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force and South Oakland Narcotic Intelligence Consortium were involved in the investigation, according to authorities.

Briggs, Angelo Parker and Ward are each charged with one count of breaking and entering a building with intent -- a 10-year felony.

Antonio Parker is charged with one count of breaking and entering a building with intent and one count of resisting and obstructing police -- a 2-year felony.

All four were arraigned at 43rd District Court in Ferndale. They are each being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Canton police said they will forward a similar investigation to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
