AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An intoxicated driver shot at a person trying to help after a crash Thursday in Washtenaw County, police said.
According to police, the man crashed his vehicle on Rawsonville Road, south of Bemis Road, in Augusta Township about 4:45 p.m. When someone tried to help, the man fired shots and tried to flee on foot, police said.

The man was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
