16-year-old boy injured when thieves flee store, officials say

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police are searching for two people suspected of stealing Apple products from a store in Bloomfield Township, officials said.

Bloomfield Township police officers were called around noon Friday to the Target at 2400 Telegraph Road, according to authorities.

Loss prevention officers said two young men, possibly in their 20s, entered the store and asked to see an Apple iPad and an Apple Watch.

One of the men grabbed the products, and they both ran to the exit, officials said.

While fleeing the store, one of the men jumped over a railing and landed on a 16-year-old boy, according to authorities. They boy had minor injuries, police said.

One of the men was seen leaving the parking lot in a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo, officials said.

The case is still under investigation.
