Man wanted in Oakland County criminal sexual conduct case arrested trying to fly to Mexico, officials say

COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Mexican man currently living in Dearborn on a work Visa was arrested in connection with an Oakland County criminal sexual conduct case while trying to take flights from Chicago to Dallas to Mexico, according to authorities.

The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office issued a third-degree criminal sexual conduct warrant against Paul Oscar-Cuevas Alvarado, 28, of Saltillo, Mexico, on Tuesday, police said.

Alvarado is currently on a work Visa and living in Dearborn, police said.

Detectives in Commerce Township named Alvarado as a suspect in a criminal sexual conduct case from October.

Alvarado was taken into custody Wednesday morning at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, police said. He was trying to board a flight to Dallas and then a connecting flight to Mexico, according to authorities.

Alvarado is being held in Chicago pending extradition to Oakland County, officials said.
