WARREN, Mich. – Warren Mayor Jim Fouts is vetoing a resolution that would allow City Council members to have lifetime health insurance after serving for eight years.
City Council members voted for the resolution at a Sept. 10 meeting, sparking outrage.
Normally, Warren city employees have to work 25 years to receive lifetime health care. City Council members are term-limited so they could never work 25 years in their positions.
