Ferris State unveils $38M residence hall built into football stadium

The residence hall gives students a unique view of home football games, with rooms and common lounges overlooking the stadium

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – Ferris State University has unveiled a one-of-a-kind residence hall built directly into its football stadium.

The $38 million Stadium Hall opened Friday (Aug. 21) and will house 282 first-year students just beyond the north end zone.

The residence hall gives students a unique view of home football games, with rooms and common lounges overlooking the stadium.

University leaders said the project is the first of its kind in Michigan, combining student housing with a college football stadium.

The university said Ferris State graduates helped design and build the project.

The new residence hall is expected to provide students with a front-row experience for Bulldogs football games while adding housing capacity on campus.
