81-year-old woman accused of stealing from Sunglass Hut, Victoria's Secret at Troy mall

TROY, Mich. – An 81-year-old Rochester Hills woman is accused of stealing about $400 worth of merchandise from two stores inside a Troy mall, police said.

A store manager at the Sunglass Hut at 2800 W. Big Beaver Road told police a woman walked into the business and stole $360 worth of merchandise before walking out.

Police found the woman still inside the Somerset Collection, and she admitted to the theft, officials said.

The officer also said he found $45 worth of stolen merchandise from the Victoria's Secret store inside the mall. He said the woman also admitted to stealing from Victoria's Secret.

She was issued a misdemeanor citation for second-degree retail fraud and third-degree retail fraud, police said.
