FLINT, Mich. – Authorities swarmed to a park in Flint where human remains were found Tuesday morning.
Flint police confirmed the incomplete remains of two people were found in Broome Park. During a news conference Wednesday officials said their investigation has spread over the entire park grounds and across the street to include the grounds of Southwestern Academy.
The FBI is on the scene, providing an "evidence response team."
Police said it would take forensic analysis to identify the remains. The Genesee County Medical Examiner will be conducting the autopsy.
Flint police were joined Wednesday afternoon by Michigan State Police and agents with the FBI for the investigation and a news conference.
Neighbors said a number of young women have disappeared from the area, and they're deeply concerned that there have now been body parts found at the park.
