OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – An Oakland County man who plays the Michigan Lottery when the jackpot gets over $200,000 won nearly twice that amount by matching the Fantasy 5 numbers.
The 58-year-old man, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his ticket online and matched the July 21 drawing with the numbers 08-12-19-25-35, lottery officials said.

He won a $382,473 Fantasy 5 jackpot.
“I play Fantasy 5 once the jackpot gets over $200,000,” he said. “I was on my way to bed for the night and checked my email, and that is when I saw a message from the lottery that said, ‘Your winnings are on the way!’
“After that, I couldn’t get my mind to slow down. I was just so excited. I definitely didn’t get much sleep at all that night.”
He recently claimed his winnings and said he plans to invest and help family.
“Winning feels great and helps move up my retirement a few years,” he said.
