Amazon: More than 1,000 season jobs available in Metro Detroit

DETROIT – Amazon announced Monday there are 150,000 new seasonal jobs now available across the U.S., including more than 1,500 in the state of Michigan.

All Amazon jobs in the U.S., including seasonal roles, have a starting wage of at least $15 per hour (nationally, average starting pay is $18 per hour), sign-on bonuses up to $3,000 and an additional $3 per hour depending on shifts in many locations.

The new seasonal roles come in addition to the 5,000 full and part-time operations jobs announced for Michigan previously, Amazon said.
