HOUSTON – A Southwest Airlines pilot threatened to “pull back” a plane if passengers didn’t stop airdropping nude photos to each other, according to a viral social media post.

NBC News reports the incident happened on a flight that was about to take off from Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport and head to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Apparently, a passenger posted an inappropriate picture of himself on Apple’s AirDrop service. Another passenger told CNN that a woman got upset about the photo and alerted a flight attendant. That flight attendant updated the pilot.

TikTok user Teighlor Marsalis posted video of the pilot’s announcement on Aug. 25.

“So here’s the deal: If this continues while we’re on the ground, I’m gonna have to pull back to the gate, everybody’s gonna have to get off, we’re gonna have to get security involved, and it’s -- vacation is gonna be ruined,” the pilot said.

The TikTok video has received 2.9 million views, 144,000 likes, and 1,700 comments, as of Thursday morning.

“So you folks, whatever that AirDrop thing is, quit sending naked pictures,” the pilot finished. “Let’s get yourself to Cabo.”

A Southwest Airlines spokesperson provided the following statement to NBC News:

“The safety, security and wellbeing of customers and employees is the Southwest team’s highest priority at all times. When made aware of a potential problem, our employees address issues to support the comfort of those traveling with us.”
