Bedford Township hotel searched after months of investigating

BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Detectives found methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, and fentanyl when they searched several rooms at the end of a long investigation into the Bedford Inn.

The search took place in the early morning hours Wednesday (April 5) at the hotel on Telegraph Road near Smith Road in Bedford Township.

Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough said deputies have been investigating “ongoing narcotic activity” at the Bedford Inn for months.

When officials from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Michigan State Police searched rooms inside the hotel, they seized “a significant amount” of meth, cocaine, crack cocaine, and fentanyl, they said.

No details about possible arrests have been revealed.
