Police arrest 2 men who thought they were going to Lenawee County for sex with underage girl

LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. – Police arrested two men who drove to Lenawee County to have sex with what they believed to be an underage girl, officials said.

The undercover operation was conducted Tuesday (April 4) by the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Troy Bevier said deputies made contact with a 42-year-old Mason man and a 52-year-old Ottawa Lake man on social media.

Both men, thinking they were meeting up with an underage girl for sex, drove to Lenawee County, according to authorities. They were arrested and taken to the Lenawee County Jail.

Deputies are seeking charges of solicitation of a minor for immoral purposes, child sexually abusive activity, and using a computer to commit a crime for both men. The Mason man could also be charged with violating the sex offender registry.
