OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A Pontiac man accused of exposing himself to a 14-year-old girl at a Bloomfield Township shopping center will serve one year in jail, an Oakland County judge ruled Monday.
Kruze Detorrian Jelks, 35, was convicted in May of one count of aggravated indecent exposure after pleading no contest. At his sentencing this week, Oakland County Circuit Court Judge David Cohen ruled that Jelks also serve five years probation, participate in an outpatient Cognitive Behavior Program (CBP), and complete sexual abuse prevention programming.

He also is prohibited from having or attempting contact of any kind with anyone age 17 or under, as well as from getting within 500 feet of any parks, city swimming pools, playgrounds, childcare centers, schools, or places primarily used by minors without prior written approval.
According to Bloomfield Township police, officers responded to the Bloomfield Plaza at the southwest corner of Maple and Telegraph roads on Feb. 17 after receiving a report that a man in a blue Ford F-150 had exposed himself to a 14-year-old.
The teen told police that “the suspect was seated inside the F-150 masturbating and his genitals were exposed.”
After that, police said the teen contacted her older sister, who was inside a nearby business. When her sister walked toward the F-150, Jelks allegedly drove off while still masturbating.
Investigators were able to locate the suspect through video surveillance from nearby businesses, as well as a partial license plate the teen was able to provide to police.
They also discovered that Jelks was on parole for first-degree criminal sexual conduct and was wearing a tether — which placed him in the area at the time of the indecent exposure incident, police said.
