Officials say the driver who was arrested was on the passenger side front seat handcuffed and seat belted in when a 16-year-old driver of a Dodge Durango drifted onto the right shoulder and struck the patrol car, pushing it into the arrestee’s car.

The Metro North Post is investigating but says the Trooper suffered a broken arm and the suspect both received lacerations to their face.

Officials say there were no other injuries reported.
