A 41-year-old man has been charged with shooting and killing his wife in Warren.

Allegedly, the incident occurred on Friday (Feb. 16) when Antonio Askew shot and killed 34-year-old Eboni Askew in their home.

The 41-year-old was charged in 37th Warren District Court with second-degree murder (Life felony) and felony firearm (Two-year mandatory felony).

“I will vigorously pursue justice for victims of domestic violence,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “We will not tolerate such behavior in our society, and we will work tirelessly to hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.”

Bond for Askew was set at $500,000 cash/surety and if released he must wear a GPS tether.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, at 8:30 a.m., and a preliminary exam is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, at 8:30 p.m.
