Federal authorities pursue over $160K in assets belonging to former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick

DETROIT – The ongoing saga continues over unpaid restitution by former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.

Local 4 got their hands on Kilpatrick’s garnishment papers on Thursday (March 14).

Officials say the papers were filed on Feb. 23, but the feds are going after more than $160,000 in Kilpatrick’s case, which has been years in the making.
