Westbound lanes of I-94 were shut down in Wayne County on Sunday after reports of a possible shooting on the freeway.
Michigan State Police said the shooting was reported on westbound I-94 near Telegraph Road.
“When troopers arrived on scene it was determined that the vehicle was struck by gunfire, and the victim was not struck or injured during the incident,” MSP said. “There is no suspect driver or vehicle leads at this time.”
After a short investigation, police said they found no further evidence and it’s possible “the round came from the neighborhood above the freeway.”
The freeway was reopened around 7 p.m.
