Crash, arrests follow high-speed chase on Detroit’s west side

Chase reach speeds north of 90mph

A license plate reader picking up a wanted vehicle led police on a high-speed chase on Detroit’s west side.

The incident occurred on Wednesday (March 20) around 4:47 p.m., when the driver carrying three passengers fled from police at speeds north of 90mph before crashing in the area of Joy Road and Ohio Street.

Officials say all four took off on foot before they eventually were arrested.

There is no word as to why the vehicle was wanted.
