Police search for man who approached student walking home from school in Warren

WARREN, Mich. – The Warren Police Department is searching for a man who approached a student as she was walking home from Cousino High School.

The incident occurred on Wednesday (April 3) at 4 p.m., when the girl was walking near Shawn and Jenny drives near Masonic and Burnet Road.

Officials say the girl was approached by an unknown Causcain man driving an older model Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The teen said the man spoke to her and attempted to persuade her into his vehicle.

The student was able to record some of the interaction with her phone, and upon pointing to her cell phone in the direction of the man, he fled the scene in his vehicle.

The man is described as 35 years old, with light brown hair and blue eyes. His Jeep Grand Cherokee was equipped with a black luggage rack and had damage near the left rear driver’s side door.
