Police seek person of interest linked to fatal hit-and-run on Detroit’s west side

Incident took place on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023

DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is seeking information regarding a person of interest linked to the fatal hit-and-run of a 29-year-old woman.

The incident occurred on Sunday (Oct. 1) at 1:33 a.m. in the area of West Grand River Avenue and Patton Street when the unknown driver of a blue Ford Explorer with gray trim around the wheels hit the woman before fleeing the scene.

Officials say the victim was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital, where she died from her injuries.
