Driver escapes unharmed as sinkhole engulfs car in SW Detroit Leaking pipe is the potential trigger for this unforeseen sinkhole
SOUTHWEST DETROIT – A sinkhole has engulfed a car on a street in southwest Detroit.
The incident occurred on Thursday (May 23) on Lexington and Green streets.
Startlingly, officials pointed to a leaking pipe, which went unnoticed since Monday, as the potential trigger for this unforeseen sinkhole.
There have been no reports of anyone being hurt, and witnesses say the driver could get out of the car on their own.
