Nonprofit organization hosts charity comedy show to benefit Metro Detroit youth

Detroit-bred nonprofit Youth Are Bigger Than Life is hosting an exclusive charity comedy show to support Metro Detroit’s youth.

The comedy show will be held on Saturday (May 25) at 7:30 p.m. at the Flagstar Strand Theatre, 12 N Saginaw Street in Pontiac.

The event is expected to draw 300-500 attendees, and your support will help raise monetary gifts for the organization’s scholarship fund and support their impactful community events, such as back-to-school drives and grocery giveaways.

“As the President of Youth Are Bigger Than Life and a former all-star basketball player at Eastern Michigan University, I firmly believe that every young person possesses the potential to achieve greatness,” said Marvin Skipper, founder and president. “Through our organization’s mission and events like the Youth Are Bigger Than Life Comedy Show, we’re not just raising funds; we’re igniting hope, resilience, and a belief in oneself. Together, let’s empower our youth to rise above their circumstances and realize their full potential.”

The Youth Are Bigger Than Life Comedy Show promises to be filled with laughter, inspiration, and support for a worthy cause.

With ticket prices ranging from $30 to $60, attendees can contribute to the organization’s impactful initiatives while enjoying a memorable evening of entertainment.

“Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our youth. Let’s show them that they are capable of achieving greatness,” said Skipper.
